October 13, 2000 marked the Grand Opening of the World's Largest Dinosaur in Drumheller. Approximately 4 times larger than a life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex, this is sure to be a main attraction to anyone visiting Drumheller.

Inside you will find 106 risers to climb to reach the mouth of the T-Rex. The walls along the stairs which zig-zag to the top take you past various displays of fossils.

Once inside the mouth you can view the town and river. The viewing area in the mouth is about 60 sq. ft and should hold 8 people at a time.

This gigantic T-Rex is 82 feet tall and weighs approximately 145,000 lbs.

65 cubic metres of concrete and 16 pile foundation anchors hold down the Dinosaur.

The Worlds' Largest Dinosaur resides beside the Drumheller Regional Chamber of Development and Tourism along 1st Avenue W and is proving itself to be a huge hit with young and old. You can learn even more about Drumheller's Newest Attraction by visiting The Official Dino 2000 site
